  2. MoonPhase ver. 1.01ß:

  5. NOTE: This program has been compiled with the Preliminary Windows95 SDK
  6. and is considered to be BETA.

  8. MoonPhase displays the phase of the moon in the tray notification
  9. area of the system task bar on Windows 95. This program *requires*
  10. Windows 95.
  11.  
  12. Either run this program by itself or put it in the startup folder.
  13.  
  14. TO INSTALL:
  15. Copy moon.exe and moon.hlp to your favourite folder.
  16. Create a shortcut to moon.exe in the startup folder.
  17.  
  18. Hint:
  19. Using the Explorer, right click and drag moon.exe; drop into
  20. the startup folder; choose create shortcut from the popup menu.
  21.  
  22. Right click on the moon to open a dialog (will let you close the app).

  29. Warning:
  30. Due to the nonlinear rotation of the Earth and the difference between
  31. ephemeris and universal time, the lunar date is not 100% accurate.

  33. This program uses the Harvey algorithm to calculate the approximate
  34. phase of the moon. The algorithm is accurate to 1 day +/- 1 day.
  35. So don't go scheduling your favourite rite according to this.
